INTRODUCTION

The cooperative society for National Development Nepal(COSFONAD-Nepal) is a non-political and non-profit making social development organization. This is registered in the kathmandu district administration office(902/059/060) under the social welfare act 2034 of Nepal government and also affiliated with the social welfare council(14869).similarly it has been affiliated NGO-Federation of Nepalese indigenous Nationalities(NGO-FONIN)(03). It has aimed to bring positive social changes through various social welfare activities.

To empower and mainstreaming indigenous Nationalities, Dalits, Women and backward people by mobilizing youths.

· To run economic social, culture, activities for uplift the living standard Nationalities Dalits, Woman backward communities .

Indigenous Nationalities (woman, children, disabled and poor communities) .

Working Approach

COSFONAD – NEPAL believes that mainstreaming of the marginalized groups is possible only through their direct involvement in development process so the development activities for the target groups must be implemented by themselves. for thisCOSFONAD-NEPAL will play the role of facilitator in order to create an appropriate environment and opportunity COSFONAD Nepal before implementing any program will facility the target groups for their involvement in the situation study analysis and planning process COSFONAD Nepal has the following specific working approaches.

1. Development works with human rights for the target groups to be carried out with the direct involvement of themselves (Let them do their development themselves).

2. Development through networking .

3. Right based advocacy

4. A option of new working approaches based on situational study and analysis. Alliance/network for target groups rights in Bhojpur District. COSFONAD Nepal has formed alliance/network of district level organization of indigenous peoples organization (IPOs) to address the target groups rights in Bhojpur district (indigenous nationalities right network Bhojpur)/funding support of NGO-FONIN(JEIP/DANIDA/HUGOU). the alliance has been working to co ordinate and cooperative with local line agencies, political development agencies and civil societies to address the target groups advocacy issue in local level. rly it has been affiliated NGO-Federation of Nepalese indigenous Nationalities(NGO-FONIN)(03). It has aimed to bring positive social changes through various social welfare activities.
